Rylie had a good day yesterday of check-ups with the BMT doctors and with the cardiologist. We will get the results of yesterday's labs for engraftment and enzyeme level over the next couple of weeks. These will really be the indicators of how things are going at this stage of the process. Everyone here was excited to see Rylie and remarked how well she is doing.
This morning saw an early start for surgery check in. All of the procedures went as expected, but Ry had a little harder time waking up. She was under anesthesia for over four hours. She has been pretty groggy since we got to see her in recovery about mid-afteroon. The doctors decided to admit her to the hospital overnight for observation. Hopefully, it will be a very short visit with a discharge tomorrow. We were planning a visit to 5D to say hi to the staff this week. We didn't know Ry was planning an overnight visit.

Proverbs 3:5–8
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."

Sending lots of prayers of thanks for good doctors and hope that all goes well tonight. (I think they just wanted to give you two parents a night off, and to charge you a very spendy sitter fee. I hope you at least got a vending machine coffee date.) Ry's in good hands and hearts. Thanks for the update.
Awwww. I just spent a couple of nights in observation too, so I know how you feel, Rylie! Good luck this week, and say hi to all on 5-D
