"Do it myself"

Lyle and I hear this a lot these days. "Do it myself!"

So I thought it was pretty cool to teach Rylie how to make toast. This could pay off in the future.

We've been eating toast a lot lately. The first day she learned to make toast she thought we all needed to eat about 6 slices. She was enthusiastic about making toast.

Say "toast!"

She also likes to pick her clothes by herself. Tie-die dress with a pink hoodie vest. Why not?

Other "do it myself" things. Rylie learned to get in the car seat about a month ago. This took a lot of coaxing, but she got it. Going to the bathroom and washing hands (with the help of a step-stool). She can totally do this. Now it's just convincing her she WANTS to do this. She prefers company. She also likes to feed the dog. She goes to the garage, turns on the light, opens the food container, fills the bowl, and then brings it back in the house for Aggie.

Proverbs 3:5–8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
