Dad of the year

I've nominated Lyle as Dad of the year. Last night on the descent on our flight back from Wichita, Rylie threw up all over herself AND her dad. Lyle was so calm as he held her until he could take her to the bathroom and clean her up. Today she is feeling better and seems to be eating normally again. Poor baby! And poor Dad!

We cancelled Rylie's surgery for today since she was sick last night. We are going to wait and see how Friday's infusion goes before we decide whether we will have Denver put the new catheter in or if we will have Minnesota redo the surgery when they do the MRI in three weeks.

That's horrible! Poor Lyle and Rylie! Praise God for wonderful Daddy's!! I can just picture him being as calm as ever. I am glad she is feeling better. I am praying that the Lord gives you wisdom to make the right decision. It sounds like there are pros and cons to both. You guys are awesome!!

We are so sorry to hear about your Grandmother Lyle. I recently lost my Grandma as well and I know it isn't easy. What a blessing that Rylie was able to meet her and thank her for that beautiful red hair though! :) We pray for Miss Rylie everyday and look forward to seeing that sweet face again soon! -Josh and Kristen

I decided to check out your website while perusing my favorites. I was so happy to get to meet Rylie but sorry about the circumstances. You will be in my prayers, although I know that you are in God's hands each and every minute. Way to go Daddy - and I hope you win father of the year. your (something ? cousin) Billie Jean

Proverbs 3:5–8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
