Heavy hearts

Our hearts are heavy as we pray for our fellow Hurler families who are hurting from the loss of their babies. We have been following two families through their Caring Bridge site since they were going through transplant at Minnesota. Little Brinley and LB both lost the fight. Our hearts go out to these families. We are reminded how very fortunate we are to have Rylie with us. She was also diagnosed with VOD, the same disease brought on by the chemo that these little babies struggled with. It is a miracle that Rylie is here with us, but we want all babies with Hurlers to have the opportunity to live a full and healthy life. Now more than ever we want to do something to help. There has got to be a better way than transplant. It isn't a good option, because the risks are too high and the process is too intense. Please join us in praying for these families who are hurting and for a better treatment for Hurlers.

Sad news indeed. We are sending out extra thoughts and prayers to you and other MPS/Hurler families this morning. And, for the research and medical teams who are working so hard to improve the 85% survival rate and are searching for better treatments. love L&B

We mourn for those families, and send love in their sadness too.

What a special girl Rylie is. Thank goodness she isn't allergic any more!

I am praying for the families to find some peace in this difficult time. It saddens me to know there are so many children stuggling with MPS. I also want you to know that I am soooo excited for Rylie on her 365 days. Lots of love, Garcie's Me-Ma

Proverbs 3:5–8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
