After we got back from Rylie's checkups in Minnesota, we signed Rylie up for music class. She has her first class on Monday. My Grandma Maedean gave this class as a special gift for Rylie. I know she'll love it. We also signed her up for preschool for the fall. We have her enrolled in the Tuesday/Thursday class from 9:00 to 11:30. If Rylie qualifies for speech therapy, she'll get help from her therapist while she is at preschool. We won't know if Rylie will get speech therapy until her evaluation in July or early August.
Last week we went to the ENT to followup on Rylie's hearing evaluation from Minnesota. We have been putting drops in her left ear, hoping it helps the inflammation come down and postpone the need for a new ear tube. Right now the tube is not working, but our doctor is giving her some time to work the tube into the right direction or make it obvious she needs a new tube. We know the tube will probably need to be replaced soon, but we are hoping we can postpone it until the right ear tube is ready to be replaced as well, so we can do it all at once. As with so many things regarding Rylie, we'll wait and see.
Some new Rylie words:
ah-za (salsa)
egg
ki (kiss)
ug (hug)
TV
ump (jump)
ba-ba (bubble)
buy
help (she's been using this for awhile, but I don't think I recorded it here; she even says "help me.")
