Rylie actually SWALLOWED a chip yesterday. I was so happy to see her "make the chip go bye-bye." She hasn't eaten any more since yesterday, but I'm so hopeful. For dinner last night, she shoveled down two jars of pasta dinner within five minutes. It was amazing. She isn't drinking water or milk anymore, and she doesn't eat enough calories yet. But I feel like Rylie might be getting closer. Keeping praying for Rylie to eat. Perhaps she will get off the tube soon.
Today my aunt Nancy came over to watch Rylie while I got an opportunity to run some errands. Rylie loved the attention from her aunt. She especially loved the new sunglasses Nancy brought for her. It's funny what Rylie fixates on. Yes, Rylie does like to accessorize!
Rylie turns 2 on Friday, and we decided to get her a zoo membership for her birthday. I'm not a big fan of caged animals, but seeing the animals is a huge treat for Rylie. The doctor told us we could go to the zoo if we stay out of the indoor areas, and of course, keep Rylie's mask on. I either try to keep her in the stroller or in my arms while we are there so I have more control of what she touches. We went for the first time the other day, and Rylie loved the elephants and gorillas. She made the appropriate signs for the animals. When we saw the tiny tree monkeys, Rylie kept saying "dog." She's a little confused, but it won't be long until she'll have it down.
Thanks for continuing to pray Rylie! She is so fortunate to have so many praying for her.
