Fever

Day +151

Yesterday we had to take Rylie to the hospital, because she had a fever. The nurse did a blood draw, and so far nothing has grown from the culture. This is great news, because if anything came back that showed infection, they'd probably admit us into the hospital and start infusions of antibiotics. We are so glad they released us to go home and wait. Rylie had another fever this morning and she sounded a little stuffy. We talked with the doctor, but there is no reason to go in again since her cultures still haven't grown anything. We'll see our normal BMT doctor tomorrow, and hopefully Rylie will be back to 100% with no fevers. Please pray that she stays infection-free and fever-free! Thanks for all the prayers.

Just FYI, Gracie's RSV positive culture was not from a blood sample. Ask them to take a booger sample. Thats where we got our positive. Nothing ever showed up in her blood.

xoxox.

P.S. Are we REALLY 150+ days post-transplant????

We're praying that Rylie wakes up fever-free this morning! Glad to hear that no bugs are growing! But I'm sorry to hear that she has a fever! And "GO, Rylie!" with the eating! That's wonderful! Hopefully not too much longer before you can get rid of the nose tube!

Can't wait to see you sometime soon! We'll be neighbors in about 2 weeks! YEA!!

Love,
The Wards

Proverbs 3:5–8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
