Howdy!

When I told Rylie about how we were going to go to the Denver Stock Show today, she told me she wanted to sit on a cow. I didn't tell her that you could sit or ride any animal, so I'm not sure where she came up with that! Since I didn't want to throw her on a bull just yet, she settled for sitting on a pony. We stood in line for the pony ride for about 15 minutes, and when it was finally our turn, Rylie looks at me and says, "Wet!" I looked down and she had made a remarkable-sized puddle beneath her feet. Of course we've been potty training, and she wasn't wearing a diaper. So, we got out of line to go change and clean up the puddle. She wasn't very happy about that, because all she wanted to do was sit on a pony . . . not a potty. When we made it back to the line, I explained what happened, and the mom at the front of the line was very gracious to let us get back at the front of the line. I walked beside Rylie while she was riding "Dr. Pepper," the pony, but I don't think I needed to because she was very happy and content to hold onto the horn. She's a natural! (The photos below didn't turn out very well, but I included them here anyway.)

Proverbs 3:5–8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
