Letters she says (and sometimes can point to): A, B, C, D, E, I, J, L, M, O, and R
I'll probably be editing this list since I know there are probably more that I just can't think of. Rylie's speech is really taking off now, and we are so fortunate to have a good therapist and a willing student. Rylie loves to repeat words (or try) when I ask her to. She knows at least over 70 signs, and she uses them frequently to tell me what she wants. I ask her to tell me what she wants as she signs, too, and it really helps. I'm very glad we have worked with Rylie on sign language, but I must admit that almost all of her sign language skills are from Signing Time videos. They've been a very good thing for us this last year, and it is the only reason why Rylie can recognize letters and say so many of them (Signing Time ABC Signs). Whenever she hears the ABC song, she moves her hand really fast like she is signing the ABCs. It's one of the cutest things!

Jade, I just loved reading this entry about words and signing. I wish I could hear her talking to you and Lyle...she is off to a great start and I can just imagine how you must smile when she tells you something! love always, Deb
Hi Rylie. It's great your "mimi" helps you practice and is keeping a record of your words! She's the best. Please give her a hug.
love and prayers from GrannyB mimi and G'dad.
What a great entry, Jade! Yes, you'll have to do a New Words entry every few months or weeks or whatever. It sounds like Rylie's really had a word explosion. Good teachers she has in her Ma and Pa. Thanks for keeping us posted. Do you think she could teach Olivia some new vocab? Maybe if I could ever get Olivia healthy enough for some Rylie Schoolin'.
