It's hard to believe that we are 9 months post-transplant, and Rylie really is doing better than we could have hoped 9 months ago. We are continually amazed by the progress she is making, and how well her body is doing after going through such a toxic process as a BMT. We have a little less than two weeks until we are off CSA (trusting everything goes as planned), and Rylie's latest thyroid test came back just right. It looks like we have the right dose of thyroid meds dialed in for Rylie, for now anyway. Rylie is still drinking, but I do have to follow her around the house with her juice box or water bottle and remind her to take a drink. She is pretty good about humoring me, but some times she says, "No way!" (This is her new phrase to say. It sounds more like "No-ie!") It's really cute, but when I need her to drink, it gets old fast!
We are so thankful for our friends/family who have held Rylie up in prayer over the course of this last year. Rylie is testament that prayer works!
Psalm 107:1
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever."

My grandson will be 6 months post unrelated umbilical cord transplant for Hurler Syndrome (MPS I) at the end of this month. Rylie's story gives us such hope.
I have been following Rylie's story and will pray for her continued excellent progress.
