Greed

As the days pass, we are experiencing the pain of knowing the additional damage that is taking place in Rylie's body all because of greed. Sun Life is not willing to step up and accept responsibility and pay a fraction of what their company is worth so that Rylie can be admitted into the hospital. However, we are unable to round up the measly $750,000 that it takes to get Rylie started on the treatment (which is required for those that pay cash). It's a miserable feeling.

Perhaps we'll have good news tomorrow, but I doubt it. We know there are many of you out there that care and are mad and frustrated along with us. Thanks for caring for Rylie; we will keep persevering because we have to.

Signing off for now.

Hi guys-

I can tell you're pretty worn down, and understandably so. I'm so sorry to hear about all the insurance issues. I have been looking into resources that might be able to help with the cost. I have a question into the National Transplant Foundation to see if they offer assistance with cord blood transplants. If you want to look into it more, here is a link: http://www.transplants.org/LearnMore.php. We're still praying.

Love,
The Wards

Proverbs 3:5–8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
