Tomorrow is here!

Sun Life must have reread their policy. They have finally agreed to pay! We can't believe it. We don't have to say we're going to find out tomorrow (there have been 35 days of "tomorrow could be the day").

Lyle got the phone call from Shane at M-E Engineers with the news about 4:00 this afternoon. Shane, along with many others, has been working constantly for Rylie's case since Sun Life started to balk at the transplant protocols. We're thrilled to know that Sun Life has agreed to pay. We don't know what caused them to give, but we wonder if it was a combination of everyone's efforts. Dr. Orchard sent a letter to the editor of Boston Globe (the company is based in Boston) and a copy of it to our contact at Sun Life. When Lyle had talked with Sun Life on Friday, they mentioned that they would contact their lawyers today, so perhaps they did and realized they didn't have a case if we took them to court.

We're relieved that this battle is finally over. Now we can focus on Rylie's transplant preparation.

A huge thank you to those about to storm Sun Life and Congress or begin fundraising efforts. There is a huge army for Rylie out there, and no one should cross them. :)

Whew . . .

We'll update with a schedule of our plans when we know more.

WHEW is right. We are so overwhelmed with your good news for Rylie and thinking about the relief you must feel. All the posted comments and e-mail from your Denver "support group" have been so gratifying to us grandparents. We know things will be busy for you there getting schedules set up now that you have the green light. I/We'll be driving back whenever you say. Wish we could be there right now to share love and hugs and prayers of thanksgiving. You know we send them anyway. L&B

Dear Lyle, Jade & Little Rylie~

I am friends with your Aunt Janie....she and others had been praying for a member of our family, Grant, who unfortunately passed away on Saturday at the tender age of eleven days old.

Upon hearing this news yesterday, Janie wrote me and asked us to be praying for your little Rylie as well. I read your story and you are an inspiration.

Hearing that you will receive the necessary funds to allow Rylie to receive the medical care she needs is a God Send and I am so grateful for His blessings.

We will continue to keep you in our prayers~

In the midst of your pain, you are aware and mindful and prayerful of others that need God's love and healing. Praise God. What beautiful faith you are giving all of us. Thanks, Lyle. My prayers are constant and my joy is GREAT.
We love you and will keep a constant stream of prayers and hope. Please give Rylie a big hug for us and tell her that her friend Ben is praying and praying.

Proverbs 3:5–8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
