Day +14

After Rylie's rallying yesterday afternoon, she got a fever of 103, and she needed the blow by line last night again. Her fever came back to 103 this morning, but after some Tylenol, she is back down to 100.8. She has had some bleeding in her mouth, probably due to her low platelets. She's been getting platelet transfusions every day for the last week, and she has been getting red blood cells periodically. Yesterday she received both and is getting another boost of each today as well. For those that are praying, please remember to pray for Rylie's donor's white blood cells to grow fast in order to help her fight this possible virus she has. She has been holding at a WBC of 0.1 for three days in a row now. Also, Rylie's skin is jaundice today that concerns us that her liver may be overworked right now. The doctor ordered some tests to see how the liver is functioning. Pray that there is no long-term damage. Thanks, everyone.

I'm so sorry to hear of these newest speed bumps along Rylie's road to recovery. But I do know that that is all they are - speed bumps - and soon she'll be back to her adorable, happy self. We're sending extra prayers for quickly growing WBC, a healthy liver, and no more fever or bleeding. Give Rylie a big hug for us and let her know all her friends in KC are sending healing thoughts and prayers her way -J&K

Proverbs 3:5–8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
