Mother's day update

Day +4

Happy Mother's Day!

We're happy to report that it's been calm here lately. Rylie is having waves of nausea, but she still perks up in the afternoons to play and chat with us. Rylie has a cough and runny nose that the doctor thinks may be caused by all the extra fluids they have been giving her. They're giving her something to help her pee more to get rid of some of the fluids. I'm nervous the cough may be more than just fluid build up.  So far everything is coming back negative but all of the cultures won't be done for a couple more days. I'm praying it isn't anything that will develop into a complication.

As always, thanks for checking in on Rylie.

It was good to have Lyle's call this afternoon and to read your post this evening, Jade. Everyone gathered at Jo's after a stroll through Botannica and playing in Riverside Park. Amy brought her laptop so the ones could check the blog. All were pleased to hear that Rylie has some perky moments and plays. They send their
"Hellos" and love to you all. Know it must be very "nerve wracking", but it sounds like the med team is monitoring all those fluids and counts and outputs, etc., etc.,(like they are supposed to!)-- all to help Rylie's body maintain that delicate balance. Here's wishing you and Rylie a restful evening. We, too, hope those sniffles clear up soon. love and prayers, L&B

Thanks for all the great updates. Ben prays for Rylie everynight (We do, too). Give a big squeeze to Rylie for us. She'll have to teach Ben "knuckles" soon.

Proverbs 3:5–8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
