Day +20

Rylie's WBCs came back at .4 this morning! Once Rylie's WBCs come back .5 or higher, they will start looking for the absolute neutrophil count (ANC) which are the fighter cells. We want lots of those!

I did find out that the rash Rylie has could actually be a good sign that the donor cells are engrafting, and it isn't necessarily GVH. The doctors aren't sure. Her rash has moved from mainly her arms to her legs and a few other places. The creams are helping, but poor Rylie isn't a fan of having the cold cream rubbed on her four times a day. The doctor told us that there aren't many absolutes in this world, but he could absolutely tell us that Rylie wasn't going to like the cream. He was right.

Hey Rylie, It's me, Wyatt. I just wanted to say HI! Mom, Dad and I keep praying for your new cells to grow, grow, grow. Don't let that little girl "down the hall" :) get you down with her high numbers. I had the same numbers as you do at this point. Slow and steady just like the turtle in the book. You should get your Mom to read it to you, it's good. I hope you can get a wagon ride soon. They are the best wagon rides you will ever have! At least it seemed like it at the time. Mom says I was suppose to be in bed an hour ago so I better go. Talk to you later.

Your friend Wyatt (and Mom and Dad)

Rylie's numbers are moving in the right direction! May you all have courage and strength and feel the love that surrounds you.

Proverbs 3:5–8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
