Day +8

We're happy to report that Rylie is still feeling pretty good for being a week post-transplant! We're continuing to brace ourselves for possible hard days, but so far so good. She is feeling crummy at times, but she is still able to get up and play. The doctor told us not to expect this every day for the next week since things are normally pretty bad the second week after transplant for most patients. But we can't help but hope.

Rylie's hair is gone. It's hard to get used to, but she is still her adorable self. Rylie's white blood cells are still zero, but they are checking every day for growth. They can start growing anytime now, but it may be another week or two before we see anything. It's hard to wait, but we are encouraged by Rylie's good spirits.

Hope everyone is doing well. Thanks again for leaving comments. We're always very happy to read a new message from our family and friends. :)

Thanks for the update! Do you know what it is about the second week that is often so difficult for transplant patients? We're praying hard!

Love,

The red hair is adorable, but something tells me even with losing that great hair, Rylie is still the cutest thing that hospital has ever seen! :) We're thinking of you and sending healing prayers your way. Miss you guys! - J&K

Proverbs 3:5–8

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."
